In October 2001 “rating agency Interfax” signed agreement about the strategic collaboration for the sake of the international rating agency Of moody's Of investors Of service. In June 2002 the international rating agency Of moody's Of investors Of service reported the solution to acquire of about 20% of actions “the Ra Interfax”.

“The Ra Interfax” appropriates ratings according to the national (intra-Russian) rating scale. The exception of the influence of [stranovogo] risk in the course of awarding the national rating makes it possible to more precisely characterize the financial position of the customer of rating and to position him among other subjects of the economy. Use of the national scale gives the possibility to obtain the rating, adequate to risk accepted level and unconfined as far as the level of the sovereign rating of Russia.

By studies and services “rating agency Interfax” they use

• the largest Russian and foreign banks;
• the leading Russian companies of [nefinansovogo] sector;
• the Russian representations of transnational corporations;
